Getting Started
How do I set up my pay cycle?
During onboarding, you'll set your pay frequency (weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, monthly, or custom cycle) and your last payday. You can change this anytime in Settings > Budget > Pay Cycle.
Can I import data from another budgeting app?
Yes. YourDigits supports imports from YNAB, Monarch Money, Copilot Money, and Bluecoins via CSV. Go to Settings > Import Data and follow the guided wizard. Duplicates are detected automatically.
Does YourDigits connect to my bank?
No. YourDigits does not connect to banks or financial institutions. All data is entered by you, either by voice or manually. This is by design: your financial data stays entirely in your control.
Voice Entry
How does voice entry work?
Tap the microphone button, speak naturally, and YourDigits extracts the amount, merchant, account, category, and date from what you said. You can log multiple transactions at once, for example, "fifty dollars at Costco and twenty at Target yesterday." Review the parsed details and tap Confirm to save. The parser is in its early phase and improves over time. If it gets something wrong, just correct it before saving. Every correction helps the parser learn and get better.
Is my voice data sent to a server?
No. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device using an on-device AI model. No audio is stored or sent anywhere. The temporary audio file is deleted after transcription. Only the transcribed text (not audio) is sent to YourDigits' own server to extract transaction details. On low-confidence parses, the server may use AI (OpenAI) for text refinement. Only the transcript text is sent, never audio.
Privacy & Security
What data does YourDigits collect?
Only what you enter: transactions, accounts, categories, and your email for authentication. We also collect pseudonymous usage analytics (including an internal user ID and an anonymous analytics identifier, not your Apple ID or any hardware identifier) to improve the app. We do not collect location data or contacts. Can I delete my account and all my data?
Yes. Go to Settings > scroll to the bottom > Delete Account. Enter your password to confirm. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our servers.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export your transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, and recurring schedules as CSV or PDF from Settings > Export Data. Export is a premium feature.
Subscription & Billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes manual and voice transaction entry (up to 5 voice entries per day), up to 9 accounts, 24 custom categories, and 5 balance reconciliations per month.
What does premium include?
Premium unlocks unlimited voice entries, unlimited accounts and categories, unlimited balance checks, budget mode with payday planning, the task center, health score and leak detection, full spending insights, smart notifications, recurring transactions on autopilot, multi-currency support, and PDF/CSV export. It starts with a 14-day free trial.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings or in the app via Settings > Subscription. Apple handles all billing. YourDigits does not process payments directly.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Go to Settings > Restore Purchases. Your subscription is linked to your Apple ID and will be restored automatically.
Platform & Compatibility
Is YourDigits available on Android?
Not yet. YourDigits is currently iOS only. Android support is not available at this time.
Does the app support multiple currencies?
Yes. You can set a home currency and log transactions in other currencies. Exchange rates are updated daily, and you can override the rate for any individual transaction.
